Insight-Out

Where shall we meet?

One of the core values is to meet each client where they are on their journey. To make this effort very realistic, I offer the option for sessions to be held in your world. Not only does this offer me a better understanding of where you come from, but it also allows you the convenience of me meeting you at home, on your lunch break, or out for a walk.

I started walking with Michael when my fiancé passed away in 2015. At the time, I just wanted someone to talk to and guide me through the grieving process. I had tried therapy multiple times before, but always came back to the same conclusion: “What’s the point?”

Once I started working with Michael, I finally understood the value of having a talented and compassionate therapist.

Our sessions are always interesting, educational, and humorous! He has a great skill of allowing you to delve into your truest desires and your sometimes-faulty perceptions, all the while feeling like you’re talking to your best friend. Not only does he genuinely care, but his intelligence and diversity in skills never cease to amaze.

I have been working with Michael for two years, and I still feel like I have so much more to learn. His sessions are always entertaining and valuable; he breaks your stereotypical “clip board therapist.”

Having a session outside of a stuffy office allowed me to have more access to what I was feeling and gave me a freer sense of expressing what I had been holding in.

After every session, I feel relieved, encouraged, and motivated to pursue my goals. I always leave excited to come back for my next session. I am truly grateful for my own personal growth, which I largely attribute to my therapist and confidant, Michael Gallagher.

What might I expect

Many of my clients tell me that my office is warm. There is a soft and welcoming feel to the yellow painted walls and sage-colored curtains. Being there grants them the opportunity to let their guard down and share their story.

Some even remark that the scented candles and warm tea make them feel right at home and instantly relaxed. What a wonderful compliment and what an incredible power space has on a person.

Knowing that space has an influence, expanding the therapeutic space is thus an enrichment to the therapy experience as well.

Insight-Out offers the opportunity to share your space of peace with me. Whether that is in the silence of your favorite place of worship, the meadow behind your house, the café bookstore near your school, or at an art museum.

Wherever your place of peace is, I am eager to walk with you on your Insightful Direction.

Why bother?

Having therapy in your space is not just an honor, but a chance for me to see you in your world. This boons my services to you, as I become acquainted with environmental dynamics that affect your wellness.

Of course, certain aspects of therapy are not guaranteed; i.e., privacy. Of course, this service might not be for everyone and that is certainly okay; it is just an additional dimension to therapy.

Some clients enjoy the option of home or office visits. Life gets busy, but with some advanced knowledge, I am happy to accommodate your schedule with the same integrity as if you were to come to my office. I am happy to be on call for wherever your sense of support is needed.

As a social worker, my profession has different extents. Some clients prefer additional support at an upcoming court case or are anxious to receive news alone at a doctor’s appointment.

Wherever your journey takes you, it does not have to always be experienced alone; I can walk with you.
